With the purchase of a new ID. model the heat pump can be added optionally. It uses less energy than the electric heating devices installed in combustion vehicles and can therefore create the desired temperature in the vehicle interior using less power. To start the process, a fluid coolant is condensed at high pressure. This results in heat that heats up the air flowing through the pump circuit. The coolant has to be regularly replaced during the inspection.
