Johannesburg, 8 May 2026 – Volkswagen Group Africa is set to deliver a compelling and future focused showcase at the 2026 NAMPO Harvest Day, marking a significant milestone as the Group presents a diverse portfolio of products, several of which will be seen by members of the public for the first time.

Attendees are invited to visit the Volkswagen Group Africa stand from 12 to 15 May 2026 for an exclusive viewing of select models making their first appearance in South Africa. This includes early access to products that signal the Group’s future direction, spanning electrification, premium mobility and next generation commercial solutions.

Hosted annually in Bothaville in the Free State, NAMPO is widely regarded as the largest agricultural exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere, bringing together key stakeholders across agricultural, commercial, and industrial sectors. The event serves as critical platform for innovation, trade engagement, and economic collaboration, attracting thousands of farmers, agribusiness leaders, and decision makers. For Volkswagen Group Africa, participating at NAMPO underscores the company’s deep-rooted commitment to supporting industries that form the backbone of the South African economy.

At this year’s event, Volkswagen will showcase a model line-up of passenger, commercial vehicles including motorbikes tailored to meet the evolving needs of both business and lifestyle customers. Visitors to the Volkswagen Group Africa stand can expert an immersive brand experience, anchored by capability, innovation, and forward-thinking mobility solutions.

The Amarok 222kW PanAmericana leads the charge for the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, as an unapologetically bold bakkie engineered for resilience, power and premium comfort. Complementing the Amarok will be Volkswagen Crafter, a proven segment leader in the medium commercial vehicle segment, alongside the Transporter and Vivo Xpress, which continue to offer dependable, scalable mobility solutions for businesses operating in demanding environments. Visitors will also get an opportunity to preview the new Caravelle, plug-in hybrid.

Further elevating the showcase is the inclusion of the all-new Audi Q3 representing brand’s progressive luxury and technology offering within the compact SUV segment. Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand will showcase the iconic nameplates such the Golf GTI, a perennial performance favourite, and the Touareg Final Edition, a fitting tribute to one of Volkswagen’s most sophisticated and capable SUVs.  Adding a dynamic two-wheel dimension to the showcase, a selection of Ducati motorbikes will also be on track and on display, bringing high performance engineering and Italian design flair into the broader Volkswagen Group Africa portfolio experience.

Volkswagen Group Africa’s presence at NAMPO is both strategic and purposeful. As the agricultural sector continues to demand durable, reliable, and efficient mobility solutions, VWGA’s product portfolio speaks directly to these needs, offering products that seamlessly integrate into both commercial operations and everyday life. Beyond product display, the stand will provide visitors with an opportunity to engage directly with product experts, explore new technologies, and experience firsthand the innovation shaping Volkswagen Group Africa’s mobility vision,” says Niels Wichmann, acting Director of Sales and Marketing, Volkswagen Group Africa.

“VWGA’s participation at NAMPO 2026 not only reinforces its leadership across multiple vehicle segments but also affirms its ongoing investment in South Africa’s growth industries, delivering mobility solutions that are as dynamic and resilient as the people and businesses they serve,” Wichmann concluded.
