Introducing the New T-Roc
October 2025
Launched in South Africa in 2020 as the then fifth member of Volkswagen’s popular T-badged SUV family of vehicles, the T-Roc comfortably occupied the space in the brand’s portfolio between the T-Cross and the Tiguan. Updated in 2022, the success of the T-Roc, which has sold more than two million units globally to date, lies in its bold, expressive exterior styling aimed at buyers looking to make a statement without compromising on comfort or this brand’s interior build quality.
Retaining its popular coupé-like profile, the new T-Roc is 122 mm longer and slightly wider than the model it replaces, creating a more commanding stance. With a 28 mm increase in wheelbase, this also frees up more interior space than before. The boot volume similarly rises by 30 litres to 475 litres when loaded up to the height of the rear seat backrests.
The new T-Roc is the third member of Volkswagen’s modern SUV family, after the Tiguan and Tayron, built on the latest evolution of the brand’s MQB architecture. The benefits include the incorporation of the latest-generation hardware and software developments related to conveniences like Travel Assist and Park Assist Pro, the latter introducing the ability to manoeuvre the vehicle into and out of parking spaces via a smartphone.
Available in Pure White solid, Canary Yellow solid, Wolf Grey metallic, Flamed Red metallic, Celestial Blue metallic and Grenadilla Black metallic, and with the option of a black contrast roof, the second-generation T-Roc is offered with LED headlamps or an upgrade to IQ. Light LED matrix units paired with a white illuminated VW badge and a narrow light strip. The rear end also features a continuous LED crossbar with a red illuminated Volkswagen logo.
The high-quality interior features a newly designed cockpit with fabric upholstery on the fascia, a 12.9-inch infotainment screen and background lighting that creates a lounge-like atmosphere. The new T-Roc adopts several features from the larger Tiguan and Tayron models, like the latest evolutionary stage of the brand’s driving experience control.
Customers also have the option to introduce a head-up display for added convenience, and 14-way electrically adjustable ergoActive seats with massage function.
