The “Emergency Service” can provide support in the event of an emergency. In serious accidents, for example when the airbags are triggered, a call for help can be placed automatically, depending on the vehicle model, if there is a 2G or 3G mobile network available. You also have the option of calling for help manually with the touch of a button if you want to call the police, fire service or an ambulance. The button is usually located above the rearview mirror or as a soft-key in the infotainment system. Depending on the model, you may have to first open a small flap to be able to trigger the Emergency Service.
