Even for the most heavy-duty jobs
It takes a lot to be convincing in the tough world of the Transporter Cab Range. This applies to the durable seat upholstery and the reliable safety fasteners on the aluminium drop sides. Eight lashing rings for securing the load are recessed into the platform, and can be folded flush with the surface.
4MOTION®
The 4MOTION® all-wheel drive
The Transporter Double Cab has various innovative features that ensure excellent traction, optimal handling and steering response even in difficult driving conditions. The new generation 4MOTION® all-wheel drive (not illustrated). The optional 4MOTION® all-wheel drive is now equipped with the latest gearbox generation Haldex clutch. Advantages include reduced weight, and further enhancement of vehicle handling and dynamics. 4MOTION® all-wheel drive with DSG®. The Transporter is the only vehicle in its class available with the optional 4MOTION® all-wheel drive and a 7-speed DSG® dual-clutch gearbox.
Mechanical differential lock (not illustrated). The mechanical differential lock is available for the rear axle together with the optional 4MOTION® all-wheel drive. This makes starting up in adverse, off-road conditions much easier.
