At Volkswagen we believe that when you purchase a vehicle, you are not simply buying a car. Every Volkswagen is manufactured with particular attention to detail, uncompromising care and an integrity you can trust.
With a choice between AutoMotion Service Plan and AutoMotion Maintenance Plan, you can rely on the fact that, after driving off in your new car, it will be taken care of for years to come. That's peace of mind.
The Volkswagen AutoMotion Service Plan does more than cover scheduled vehicle servicing — it allows you to maintain a competitive resale value. The optional AutoMotion Service Plan, with a distance limit of up to 180 000km, is available for the whole Volkswagen vehicle range.
This offering from AutoMotion is exceptional. The Maintenance Plan not only covers servicing costs, but also wear and tear items such as wiper blades or brake discs that are not usually covered by service plans.
What's more, the AutoMotion Maintenance Plan also covers mechanical and electrical faults should they occur within the duration of the plan, with an assurance that only genuine Volkswagen parts are fitted during the lifetime of the plan.
A 5-year / 90 000km Automotion Service Plan is included as standard on New Golf, New GTI and Scirocco. The premium AutoMotion Maintenance Plan is included as a standard 5-year / 60 000km plan on Jetta, Beetle, Touran, Sharan, Tiguan, Kombi, Caravelle, Beach and California. A 5-year / 100 000km AutoMotion Maintenance Plan is included as standard on Eos, Passat, Volkswagen CC and Touareg. This is in addition to the 3-year / 120 000km manufacturer warranty that is standard on all Volkswagens. You can be sure that your Volkswagen, whilst covered by the Volkswagen AutoMotion Service Plan or AutoMotion Maintenance Plan, will be maintained by qualified technical staff within the franchised Volkswagen Dealer network. You will have a complete service history from your Volkswagen Dealer, which means your Volkswagen will maintain its retail value.
Extensions to the AutoMotion Service Plans and AutoMotion Maintenance Plans are available in intervals of 30 000km to a maximum of 180 000km or five years, and terms and conditions will apply. As the service intervals for your Volkswagen vehicle are every 15 000km (or one year, whichever comes first) each extension to the AutoMotion plans provides for two additional services, based on distance covered.
Whether your Volkswagen was purchased with the Volkswagen AutoMotion Plan as standard, or you purchased it as an option, it is important to note that the following procedure must be adhered to in the unfortunate event of an accident:
The owner/driver must immediately notify the AutoMotion Authorization Unit that the vehicle has been involved in an accident. Any damage to the vehicle that may impact on the cost of the maintenance of the vehicle must be reported.
The Service or Maintenance Plan will then be suspended by AutoMotion, until such time as an Approved Volkswagen Motor Body Repairer has repaired the vehicle. AutoMotion reserves the right to inspect the vehicle before lifting the Service or Maintenance Plan suspension.
Should the vehicle be written off, the owner must immediately notify AutoMotion in writing and the contract shall terminate with immediate effect.
Volkswagen of South Africa has the right at its discretion to terminate the AutoMotion contract if the owner/driver fails to notify AutoMotion of such accident, and the details of any repairs resulting thereof.
