Engen Volkswagen Polo Cup
This is one of the most spectacular and entertaining racing formulas in the country. A one-make championship, it has seen young drivers like Tschops Sipuka, Scott Bricknell, Graeme Nathan and Michael Stephen competing against crafty veterans like Derrick Irving (a former World Kart Champion), Neil Stephen, Marthinus Briers and others.
With more than 30 participants, it is always the biggest single entry for any race meeting. Close competition, clean racing and the fact that the cars are technically compatible make the Engen Volkswagen Polo Cup even more exciting as it is only driver skill that determines the winner.
In order to race in this exciting series, a competitor must be a member of the Engen Volkswagen Polo Cup Association. To find out more about this Association and its qualification criteria, contact Desiree Jacoby (née Merkel), the Chairlady for 2009.
